these are my friends nails that i attempted to do using glynis' method by building the free edge without a form.i was not sure if it would work as i did these using gel but it seemed to work fine.i used akzentz warm coverage gel.i personally wouldnt have done the shape or length like this but the client didnt want them any longer.i wanted them to be more of the length and shaped so they fitted her fingers more.
any comments/advice welcome and thanks for looking.x

Tracey - you did a sterling job on these mate:hug:
I personally think they suit the nails, she was a nightmare biter & these will give her a great chance to get used to having something there.
Biters are notoriously bad to start with & I'd of adised this exact look for her.
Well done, and well done for trying out Glynnis form free method, I'd not know where to start with gels on that method.
Fab work, I bet she was a very happy client.

I think you've done a lovely job too. As Bev says, the length will get her used to having nails. Hope she manages to keep her hands away from her mouth! xx

thanks so much for your comments.i wasnt even sure if this method would work using gels but im fairly happy with them and so was my client.as she is a neighbour im hoping to keep on top of them and check them quite regular as long she stick to it aswell.as i dont want her to leave them and then they end up really bad.so fingers crossed.x

I think that she should be chuffed to have these Tracey given what her nails were like before. They look just right for her and her nails were terrible weren't they and they'll grow so quickly now she can't bite them so they will look quite long for her quite quickly I would think.

I'd love to be able to produce them from such a severe biter. Well done

The free form method, is this sculpting directly onto the skin?

Well done hun they look great!

Hiya love em I have a friend who is a bad nail biter looking at these nails is like looking at her hand lol I have to hers with out a form as well.
I do them with out a form put a small amount of oil on the skin to stop product from getting on and sticking to the skin it really is a good method for nail biters.
Love em :)

I think you did a great job! What an improvement...they are the perfect length and look for her. I'm sure she was thrilled with them! :)

Amazing job Tracey, I will have to look that tutorial up I havent seen it.
I bet she is over the moon with those, you should have a client for life now ..xx

Fantastic job Tracey, I bet she was well chuffed xxx

I think these are great. I have used that method, with Brisa gel, on my worst ever nail biter and it did the trick, though a little fiddly to say the least - well done:)

Well done! If I had badly bitten nails and they ended up looking like your final pic, I would be well pleased! x

You have done a fine job on these nails, I hope I'm as good one day.

anne xx
