Hiya Geeks, Geekettes and Geeklets...

Am just compiling my monthyl chat room piece for the August issue of Professional Nails and wanted to have a bit of fun. So, carrying on from a thread I've spotted the question this month is, I want to know...

If you could change the name of your business or were going to open up a new salon, what would you call it?

It'd have to be Kat's Claws for me, for obvious reasons, but I reckon there are oodles out there that make you smile...

As always, responses will be published in the mag, so if you can include your full name and business name that'd be fab.

Cheers all... I look forward to hearing your ideas!

Thanks
Kat

Hi Kat

My hubby and I have just boat a new boat and I would love to do nails on the river (sooooo peaceful - get really chilled out on the river with my voddy & tonic  ) so I guess the best name for me would be

Nautical Nails

I will keeping dreaming - in the meantime I will stick with my business name that 'does exactly what it says on the tin' Nails at Home - because I do - yours or mine!

If I owned a nail salon, I'd call it - very simply -

'BUFF'
:) I wouldn't look up buff.com though - not so nail orientated!

I've thought of a few over the years.......

"A More Beautiful You"

"New Length Nails"

"Tips 'n Toes"

"Hand in Hand"

"Hello Gorgeous"

"Get Nailed!"

"Just Nails" (name of a salon I worked at yearrrrs ago..)

and previously worked at: "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"

Now I call my getup in the back of a hair salon: "The Nail Spa"

i think mine would have to be "Tailored Talons"

As always loved the word Talons, but a few people said it sounded abit S & M.

I've just called mine... "Simply Nails"

direct and to the point.

It would be changed to the Nail Shed, because ask my two lads "where is mum, and they will reply "she is in the Shed".

I'd dump 'Liberty Nail Design' (even though there is a private joke behind the name) and would re-name myself 'Tips & Tans' as I now offer airbrush tanning as well as nail enhancements. I 'added' this to my business name anyway though, so I'm still fairly happy with it! ;)

Other than that...... I thought 'The Dublin Digit Diva' would be quite catchy!

That is my current dilema. Current suggestions are:

- The Nail Cabin
- The Nail Palace
- Christine's Nail Cabin
- Christine's Nail Palace

I am currently working from my spare room which is rather compact like a cabin but so well kitted out it is like a palace (with thanks to my wonderful hubby, Jon). Any feedback would be welcomed xx

My business is called SensatioNails because I like the play on words theme. As I specialise in UV Gel another great name would be GELICIOUS!
