Hi all. After going through a miscarriage 2 weeks ago I am really feeling like I need something new. I have thought about learning to do acrylic nails and now that I am no longer pregnant I figure this is the perfect time  I have two questions though. My goal is to work from home and specialize in acrylics. Two questions:

1) With acrylics is it safe to work around the chemicals when pregnant? (in case I get pregnant again?)

2) Do I require some kind of special ventilation in order to do acrylics from home?

Thanks ladies, I appreciate the insight you can offer. :)

i'm so sorry to hear your news.

let me assure you that as long as you follow the correct procedures when using products that you would be perfectly safe if you were to become pregnant.
the same applies to the ventilation issue. as long as you are working safely, you will be fine.

just make sure you get some good quality training and all your worries about nails will be resolved. good luck with your course.

Thanks so much! The road has been rough but I think I am stronger than I think. Thanks for the great advice. I just got back from a doctor's appointment and my doc said the same thing so I feel more at ease about doing this. Thanks again :)

I am so sorry for you.
I think its a great idea throw yourself into something new. Its still quite new to me i started a year ago my daughter was born premature she only weighed 1lb 4oz and had a lot of problems shes 8 now, she has cerebral palsy and chronic lung disease but we are very lucky she is doing really well now.
I decided to do something new and nails is the best move i made i hope you enjoy it as much as i do good luck. x

I bought my gel kit from EN, I started the course when I was pregnant I continued the course and gave birth to my son, two days aftergiving birth my father passed away and I grieved for a long time. Then 1 day during my grieving I felt like doing nails and I brought out my nail trainer and never looked back. I felt that it was a great help to me.
