Hi I am a newbie and this is my first posting and hopefully someone can help me with my dilemma.
Quite a few years ago I worked for a well known cosmetic company and so am quite experienced in applying make up.
I recently trained in beauty - Manicures, Pedicures,Skincare, Facials, Waxing, Eyebrow/lash tinting & shaping but did not do make up.
I have however now been approched via people who knew that i had cosmetic experience to do a couple of wedding make ups.
So I would like to know would you/ can you do make ups without certification or insurance?
Thanks
Loo

You cannot get insurance without having the relevant qualifications

Although you can apply make-up as you have relevant product training, I would definitely suggest that a professional course is the best route for you

You can do anything without certificates or insurance, but you would obviously not be covered in the event of any problems, e.g a bad skin reaction to the make up you have used.
I can see its quite annoying if you already have the skills and experience in applying make up needed, but perhaps you may be an ideal candidate for a shorter course and then you can get insured properly, which in my opinion is very important.

thanks for the replys! have now enroled for make up course x
