Okey doke guys... it's time for a bit of site participation in the form of...

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

Here's how it works...
You have to answer a question correctly before posting a new question and so on and so on...

There are no prizes for being the best but loads to learn and the knowledge that your questions and answers will be helping lots of other members (both old and new) in the process.

Here goes:

Name the three primary layers of skin :?:

Here goes:

Name the three primary layers of skin :?:

epidermis, which provides waterproofing and serves as a barrier to infection;
the dermis, which serves as a location for the appendages of skin; and
the hypodermis (subcutaneous adipose layer).

Is that an A&P question?

Consultation

Cleanse

Tone

Apply saline solution (can't remember proper name for it)

Apply galvanic gel...

Hmmm, might be making myself look an idiot here.

Also just realised it's not A&P!

I am assuming that nail fold is the lateral fold, but nail groove is a bit of an old and odd misnomer. I would have swapped it for Lunula (though thats not really a part of anatomy, rather a reflection of the distal matrix.

Therefore I guess I would have said:

  1. Eponychium
  2. Cuticle
  3. Matrix
  4. Lunula (not really anatomical, more of a feature)
  5. Lateral folds
  6. Plate
  7. Bed
  8. Bed Epithelium
  9. Onychodermal band (more of a feature than anatomy)
  10. Free Edge (not really anatomical, more of a feature)
  11. Hyponychium
  12. Solehorn? (Kind of cheating as its the Bed epithelium once it passes the hyponychium)
Oops... theres 12 :smack:

Can anyone name the bones in the wrist?
