hello,

i think this is probably a silly question but im a little confused

Looking to book my self on to the cnd foundation course november this year, and whilst online typed into you tube cnd nails and found a few vidios

On one it was Land P and was applied just on to the origional nail.

does this mean on foundation course you learn applications on the natural nail? or do you attatch and blend in faulse acrylic nails??

sorry probably a dumb blond moment thanks!

There are plenty of different ways of achieving nail enhancements. In a lot of cases clients want additional length so the Technician will apply a tip or Sculpt a free-edge using forms, but sometimes a client will want their existing nails overlaid for additional strength only. Either way the product is always applied to the natural nail, as tips are adhered to the free edge only.

You will learn mostly over tips on the CND Foundation Course, because it is just that - a foundation to the rest of your learning. There is so much to learn and perfect that you can't possibly learn it all in one course. It is a fantastic course and CND are the best in the industry for their education......

What you saw on youtube is what I was taught as being a natural nail overlay, (I did a Level 2 Nails Technology course at my local college), this is where acrylic is applied to the natural nail without a tip. I believe that when you go on the L&P Creative course they will probably show you how to apply tips and then apply the acrylic onto tip and nail, those on here that have done the course will tell you for definate I'm sure. On my course we covered blended tips, white tips and natural nail overlay. Hope that helps!

Anyway I hope you enjoy your course I'm doing the conversion creative spa in September at Leeds and I cant wait, also as soon as funds permit I'll be doing the L&P conversion then gels. getting excited already!!
