I was trained with CND but the salon I work with using NSI product.

Yesterday I had a lady who needed an infilled with me. After I had checked her nails I found out that one of her middle finger got bacteria infected.

This lady told me he didn't like the shape as well as they looked so dulled. I removed her nail polish and tried to file down. My NSI endurance 100 didn't work at all so I used the NSI red file that was rougher.

However, I spent more than 30 mins but they seem to be the same and I surrender. I tried to ask her where she had her nails done and she said she got a package from one salon (tanning+extension=£30)

I didn't mean to be bias or had a negative thinking but I'm not sure are they MMA product or not. As I have never used them before and Never ever seen them either.

Does anyone know how to deal with these. What should I do to remove these products as the salon charge for the removing product. That lady decided not to remove them at the salon. (I'm just a wee nail tech so have to follow the salon pricing.

As her nails got Bacteria infected, I'm feeling so guilty as I'm not sure she will come back for removing or not and will it be so harmful to leave them like that. I know I should have ask my educator but as I'm so worrying about this issue so I would like all geek to help me finding this answer.

Thank you very much...

Serious advice is if she wont pay at the salon you work in to have them removed she should go back to where she had them done and tell them she's not happy n let them deal with it . Non serious advice go to local council highways dept and ask to borrow a road drill x

i dont understand why you are so worried ;) you didnt put the nails on in the first place so you didnt cause the problems and you advised her to soak them off which she decided to declined, you cant do no more than that!
do you keep record cards for your clients? if you do make sure you put down your concerns that way you will be more aware of her situation if she books with you again ...
also if it is MMA it would of taken a long time to soak off so if she does decide to come back for a soak off book out some extra time

Dont worry doll - they get what they pay for!

I once had a referal and when they seen the price they told me that they are not prepared to pay 38 pounds for their nails as they can have them done for 25. I said that i wish them best of luck!

Dont get stressed about it and dont take it personally. It is not your fault.

Hugs:D

Well I like the fact that you have concern for this client even though you did not do her nails or cause the infection .. it shows you have just the right attitude that every nail tech should have .. and empathy for people and concern for their welfare.

If you have this lady's number, (which you certainly should have on her Client Record Card) then it would be a good thing to give her a friendly ring and suggest she go and have her nails professionally removed immediately before the infection gets worse, which it most definitely will (and very rapidly) if she does not. If I were a client I would be very impressed by your concern for me and would remember it for the future.

Thank you very much for your kindly advices. I'll follow your suggestion on this client.
