I have to handle acetone quite often at work, and I have soak off gel extensions. By the end of the day, I noticed that my gels were always ruined from all the acetone, so I started putting a coat of OPI axxium's UV Top Sealer on top and underneath my nails. This kinda works, but the sealer always chips off from underneath my nails by the end of the week.

Is there a better way to prevent my gels from getting ruined aside from wearing gloves?

Well, when I was working daily with acetone (in NY, in 1986 even) it was OSHA requirement to wear gloves at any time when handling it (or Toulene, which I also handled daily). You are in CA, so it should still be the same if you are handling quantity of hazardous chemicals.

Gloves, its the way to go.

Gloves are a must!! But also a buff off gel like CND's Brisa Gel ?

I use a non soak off gel so don't have this problem....also there are wipes called handsdown pads that have a protective backing to protect your nails that can also help.
