Im sorry for my 50th question on soak offs! :lick: I tried removing Nobility Gel with tips with some Acetone I got at Sallys' it's getting most of the gel off but not all of it, am I not leaving it long enough? How long should you leave it?

You'd need to leave it in the acetone for about 15 mins..... just remember when you remove the nails from the acetone, they start to set again, so you need to work quite fast and do one hand at a time... don't remove both hands together, as the second hand will be set again by the time you get to it.

Just to mention, you need to buff the nails to break the seal of the gel before you put them in the acetone... a sponge buffer should get the last bits of gel off and you won't do any damage to the natural nails.

Gel remover?.. do you mean the nobilty one?

I find acetone is more or less the same as it, although I'm sure the Nobilty remover is kinder to the nails, acetone can be very drying... your gel will still set when the nails are removed from it
