I have been wondering this for a while....does the use of an acid primer in a system put you off using or trying out the system?

Well I voted no as it didn't put me off of using EzFlow, nor would it put me off any other system that might use it. If you know how to use it safely and the precautions to take I dont see it as an issue :)

Same here, as I also use ezflow,
But my god it stinks to high heaven lol

Whether the product used an acid primer or not would not be a factor in my product choice. I don't use an acid primer, but I don't have problem with the idea.

I voted it wouldnt put me off.
If you have covered health & safety withing the workplace and you familiarise yourself with the products you are using i cant see it been a problem.
I have and still do use acid free and acid primer depending which system i use and ive never had a problem.

I voted yes... as I am not used to acid primers, and have always fought for us not to have one (but in the end we do... :|)

it wouldn't really put me off, but I'd try to avoid using it. I did try some but it stinks as hell, and I hate that lol. plus I've had to use it on a damaged nail plate on a client and it hurt her a lot, and I'm not used to these reactions.

You should NEVER use primer on a damaged nail plate. You could be sued for doing this.

well it wasn't torn, or bleeding, or stuff.. it was just really thin due to her previous tech filing it too much.

I agree totally

Thanks for your replies. As an acid primer user myself and also having also heard the 'horror stories' and misconceptions about MAP (which obviously I don't pay heed to !), I was interested to see what other techs thought and whether the stories and misconceptions had put people off using it.

I don't have any problem with acid primer when it is used cautiously.
Like mentioned above i just hate the smell

Ditto what everyone else has said i use acid primer (ezflow) as long as its used responsibly and safely
