I was just wondering do you think it would be ok to just put acrylic straight on to the natural nail or toe without having put on a nail tip? If you could let me know what you would do that would be great.

You need to take this up with your trainer!! If this wasn't covered your training wasn't worth what you paid for it!

I went through college, and then trained with a company, and then did a conversion course, and not once did I get shown a NNO. To be able to do them I read my manuals, books, anything I could get my hands on, and also geeked right out. I spent loads of money (and time!) on my training, but didn't get shown it to be honest.

Have you done your training yet? Your profile doesn't tell us much

If you think about it the acrylic already goes onto the natural nail...its only going on a tip at the free edge....so the answer is YES you can..becouse you already do. Tips are just to give instant length and to stop the product falling on the floor....if a client doesn't want or need extra length then you would just skip the tips and apply right on the nail...taking extra care to cap the free edge.

If applying on a toe nail...then make them thin...they do not need the extra strength of a thicker application cos toes don't do what are poor hands go through every day.

All of the above are called NNO...(natural nail overlays)

some of us are blessed with naturally long strong nails and don't necesserily need nail enhancements. You can put acrylic overlay onto natural nails, I have had mine done many times and when I feel bored, I cut my nails and put nail tip and acrylic overlay on top. :)

I think this is the most important question on this thread and it would be great if you could respond to this
