acrylic to gel

hi i currently have acrylic overylays on my nails, had this for some time now and i would like to soak them off and put gel on my nails because at the moment my nails look thick. How does gel work? do you have to have infills, how do i go about changing from one overlay product to another...... loooong time ago i had gel nails and i basically could just peel them off, was this because they were not set well??? what would you geeks advise, thanx

Acrylic nails done with Liquid and Powder do not have to be thick. If done by an expert they are thin and beautiful and strong.

Gel nails can also be applied thick and ugly ... or thin and beautiful .. it all depends on the artistic/skill level of your technician.

Whatever you use you naturally have to have them maintained at the same regular frequency.

If you want to change then in my opinion it is best to soak and have anew set but it is possible to just fill/rebalance with the gel ... you may however get a colour variation.

If you could peel your gel nails off years ago then the technician or the product (or maybe both) were not competent.

YOU should not be putting anything on your nails with out correct training
