Adding another layer of colour after curing top coat

Hey, is there any way to add another layer of colour gel polish after the top coat has been cured. I did a clients nails yesterday, but in the daylight she has checked them and she would like another layer to make it more opaque. I'm fine with this, but before I completely remove all and restart. I'm wondering if you well experienced nails techs have any tips about doing it a quicker way. Can I buff the top coat and add another layer of colour? Can this work at all? Thanks in advance

I'd buff the top coat to remove the shine and create a rough surface, apply colour coat and top coat. Make sure you charge for your time, her choice to change the colour, she pays.
