would like to advertise in the paper, to let people no i do a true brazillion and offers, but have no idea how i could approach this and make people really want it. any ideas guys x

I honestly don't mean this in a bad way at all so please don't take offence,
but a good start would be to spell it correctly, Brazilians, Hollywood :lol::hug:

lol:lol:, it had been a long day yesterday.

Thank you anca, your site is lovely, was just looking at your opening hours. You must be shattered

Good Question! I live in a small town where everyone drives to the big city to have theirs done, and no one knows about it. I just opened my new studio and have had quite a few hollywood clients, but when advertising my mouth and telling people what I offer they cringe at the thought of a bikini wax, even just the basic. I'm the only one in my area that offers more than just the basic. I'm loving it! BUt yes, how to advertise? I have made some brochures that list my bikini waxes from Modest, Brazilian, Honeymoon, and Hollywood and then just tell them to ask for details. If they are serious about a wax, they will ask the differences and that gives me a chance to explain them and why people like it and why or how they are done. Also gives me a chance to set the client at ease and relieve some of their possible fears of bikini waxing if they have never had it done before. As for the paper, it goes the same way, just offer your services and your number. If they are serious about it, they will call to get info, and then you get to make friends and sell yourself and your services! I love this part of it! I advertise that I offer 10% off for my new customers also.

Personally I have found the best advertising for this kind of waxing is to get yourself a website and promote it that way. I know that people do search the www looking for qualified techs and it is a much cheaper way if doing it.

You could also give out a promotional leaflet to your existing clients when they come for a treatment along with a introductory rate.

google brazilian and holywood waxing and see what comes up and you can get ideas from that.

Good luck

Ok so I went to all the salons here in town and I had my brochures in hand along with my business cards and a smile :). First I asked them if they offered bikini or body waxing, then I proceeded to tell them about myself and my business. It's amazing what just getting out there yourself can do! I already got a call today for a service! I enjoyed getting out there cause then I get to know other salon owners and other girls that work there. It's nice to be able to work together for a mutual client!

Hey, well done you!!
It's true, getting out there yourself can make a huge difference. It's one thing to advertise, but if people see your face and see how approachable you are, it makes a big difference. They can see for themselves that you're a professional, and it makes it easier for them to recommend you to others because they will remember your face, rather than just a random price list they picked up somewhere.
Keep it up!!! XXX
