Hi

am Donna and am new to this site so be gentle with me:irked:

I am looking for some advice,I am wanting a career change into the beauty industry maybe working a salon or a spa

I have a diploma in aromatherapy and massage and I am currently doing an svq in waxing and depilation

What else should I do to help my chance of getting a job?

thanks

I would imagine most salons would be looking for a therapist that is also able to carry out Manicures and Pedicures,Eyelash tinting and Facials to start with.Otherwise you are quite limited to what treatments you can offer.Obviously it depends on the type of salon you work in but if you were thinking of a bigger salon or spa the more qualifications you can get in different treatment the better.hth

If you have no commitments, why dont you try Stobo Castle Health Spa in the borders of Scotland. There was a few therapist who was employed to just what your qualified in.

Facial therapy is a good start also to have, and manicure/pedicure.

Good luck in your new venture.:)
