I have my first client tomorrow and she has advised me that she did a home spray tan about a week and a half ago and her feet are still browner than the rest of her body and wanted to know what would be the best thing to do so that she looks even and her feet don't look browner than everywhere else.

I told her to buff them thoroughly to take off as much of the tan as possible. Would I just put a very light misting over the feet?

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks

If after a week and a half ago since she applied the tan and she still has tan residue that's pretty surprising.

Simply ensure she exfoliates as much off as possible before coming to you tomorrow.

***** the feet when you see her and adjust the way in which you approach these areas...if the residue is pretty much gone treat as normal or if there is a lot then blend in accordingly and every variation in between...simply adjust the amount of tan you are applying dependant on her last tan residue.

Good luck ..im sure all will work out fine

What do you mean by 'blend accordingly and every variation in between', sorry if I sound stupid!

If there is a lot of residue simply mist this area..if hardly any treat as normal...if a medium amount spray somewhere between lightly misting and doing a full application.

Once you see the customer im sure you will quickly be able to determine just how much to apply.

HTH and good luck

I find best results for me are when I pull the gun away slightly as I come down towards the ankle, all the way round with each downward stripe.

You'll see that the feet can attract lots of natural overspray, so I find I only need to do a light, swift spray on the middle and one stripe each side, without going too far back towards the ankle (which will already have been sprayed earlier).

I must say I found feet and ankles the most difficult part of the spray tan routine to master, but finally got the hang of it once I realised that "less is best".

Hope I've made sense and haven't confused things further.

xx

No that's great, thank you both very much for your advice. I feel confident that I will know what to do once I evaluate the situation.

Thanks

Have you done it yet? How did it go? Lx

Hi Lucy

I did it last night but haven't heard anything as yet so hopefully things went fine!

she has got a really big ball to go to tonight so she is happy with the result.
