Hi all!
I'm usually a lurker on nail forum, hope you don't mind me crashing your board. I wondered if anyone might be able to advise as I'm sure im not the first person it's happened to! Basically, I had my hair dyed a lovely vivid red in Friday and the lovely hairdresser (who is fab!) decided to give my rather expensive bag a matching do! It was well tucked in near my feet so I have no idea how she managed it but there you go! Has this happened to anyone before? If so what was the verdict? I was going to ring tomorrow but wasn't sure if had a leg to stand on so to speak.
Thanks in advance!

call the salon they should offer to wash the bag and try to.remove it or pay you for the Bag. if they are not.agreeing to take responsibility threaten them with legal action. be firm!!

Thanks guys, will give them a ring tomorrow x

HI

Hmm not really sure about this as really clients are responsible for their own personal items whilst in the salon.

Her liability may cover it but i really am not so sure you would have a case. Your own insurance may well cover it though and they may pay your excess?

Negociation will be the key here I think, as you need to take some responsibility for your own items.

I dont mean any offence and this has never happened to me personally.

My partner is a leather repair specialist and a few years back was approached by a salon who had done the same thing to a clients radley bag, they paid for it to be repaired
I would defiantly contact them if they are a reputable salon and they value you as a customer they may offer you a resolution
Good luck x

Hi ... I've actually done this to a client :o it was a total accident ... Colour splashed! The salon paid for a replacement, I had actually asked her to put it on the chair next to her as the colour I was using was very watery but she wouldn't have it, as a result the bag got splattered and the salon paid ... Moreso because she was a very good regular, I felt absolutely awful too.

did she offer to put your bag into a safe Place?
