Hi all!

This may have been asked before so im sorry!

Im a mum of one and full time housewife. I want to take this opportunity to change my previous role as a PA and enter the world of nails. Ive saved my pennies and am now able to pay for a course. I understand this will be a long journey rather than like a quick course and hey presto i can do nails!

My reason for posting on here is this - i eventually want to practice with Creative, so do i go to them for the training straight away, or do i go to college and do it with them and then go on to creative once i have got some experience under my belt?? Im very new to this and want to do it right????

I did my Foundation training with Creative and can see no advantage in training elsewhere first. The training you will receive is excellent and you will not be disappointed. HTH

Contact Sweet Squared (UK Creative distributors) on 0845 210 6060
and ask for the details of training near you, they are really helpful and their brochures are clear and concise.

Hi, I'd go with Creative rather than the college option, I believe they do courses both in Bristol and Bath.

I would have to agree with the girls I trained with creative and they are always there if i need advice or further training. My friend went to college and now has no one to help or answer questions.

Hi, I have just come across your question about college or creative and thought I would post a reply to you. Like you last year after taking 7 years away from work as a PA for a lawyer to look after my children I decided thatI wanted to do something different. I looked at doing loads of courses at colleges part time and full time. Although I was given lots of very good advice about going to college I chose to a course at NSI and have to say it is the best thing I could have done. I am glad that I did it and did not go down the college route. I loved the course and got to know lots of other Nails techs and still keep in touch with them. I have only recently qualified so still finding my feet but do not regret doing the course one bit. If you do enough practice and get loads of models the course at creative should be enough to get you started. Going to college and can take a year or so and costs nearly as much once you have paid your college fees and bought all your kit. I hope you enjoy your course which ever one you choose. Good luck.

Well, after all your advice i took the bull by the horns and booked my creative training! Starts in March. Wish me luck ladies!!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes: Just need to get the trainer hand now!

I agree with everyone else, Creative all the way. I have done the long way round college first and then Creative. If I could've afforded it I would have done a Creative course from the start.

You won't regret it, its a fantastic start to a wonderful career and I wish you all the luck and enjoy your course :)

hi,

Yes i agree with you, doing a college course does not have any back up.
I have completed my Nail technician course, last year, and just to get my certificates it took me a year!!! No back up at all.

Im quite lost right now, becaus ei really want to start my own mobile business and dont know who to ask or what to do.

I did advanced nails at college using CND products and to be honest I thought it was a complete waste of time doing it at college that I am actually going to start from scratch with Creative (or another brand) when I can afford to do so. Perhaps this was just down to the tutor but I would stick with creative course not college.
