I went for a desk rental position at the weekend and have been offered the desk :wink2: very happy about this. Due to family committments I cannot work full time in the salon and so would like to still try to build up my mobile business in the evenings and mondays when the salon isnt open.

I have not mentioned this to the salon owner as yet but wondered if I should? Had the desk been for a fixed weekly rental I would not see this as a problem but as it's commission based I dont want anyone to think I am trying to steal business, which to be totally honest I am not, I just want to maximise my earnings.

I have spent alot of money out on leaflets, business stationary etc and am ready to start advertising my mobile business properly... I never really anticipated finding a desk so quickly.. looking for advice on what to do?

Thanks in advance

I wouldnt see the problem with building up a mobile clientel as long as your not taking clients from the salon I would imagine? If you are advertising locally and clients are calling you for mobile services there shouldnt be a problem.

I think you need to play a straight bat here and speak to the saalon owner first. It could be an issue if she found out about it from elsewhere later. If you start under that regime, then it will not become an issue or problem.

Yeah I missed that part out and agree with Persianista, if you speak to the salon owner about your plans you will find out weather at least you will have the chance to have an agreement with the owner or decide if you can only pursue one or the other.

Have spoken to her and she is cool with it, I am so pleased and excited, just waiting my last certificates to add to my insurance and then I will be starting woohoo  xx
