Hi Girls Im sure this has proberly been done before but i am new to this forum and would like your help..
I really really want to become a nail technician I did a one day nail course last year but never really got enough practice of friends and family etc so I have decided to do another course which will be a better one and teach me all i need to no and would like some help on which courses are best and how much they cost please... Im from the birmingham area
Thanks Girls :)

One day course's really aren't any good,,,, I did my nail extension training at colledge,,,, why not have a look at what the colledge do????? I did mine one day a week think it was for a term and also they do evenings,,,, I did mine over 8 years ago and then did a induction with creative. Also I think creative do a foundation course which is about 5 days,,, have a ring round and they will tell you more and price's etc.

It's taken me along time to get nails right, it needs a lot of practise,,,, you can't learn nails in one day,,, even after your course it takes time to master it.

Good luck

I woold do as kezza suggests and give Creative (CND) a call. They will send you the info you need and you will be in excellent hands with them. Also read the link below which I'm sure will be interesting to you. don't waste your money and get it Right from the Start with CND. Welcome - Sweet Squared

I am currently doing a 17 week evening course at college and imho, really don't know how anyone can become a qualified Nail Tech after a day or even a weeks course.

I have been having nail extensions now for 11 years and after seeing my nail technician literally fly my nails on with ease, I honestly thought that it would be a breeze. How wrong I was. It is probably one of the most intensive and hardest courses I have ever done. There is so much to it and again imho, don't think that 17 weeks is long enough either.

As my tutor says the real experience/knowledge comes with practice, practice, practice.

I can't advise on which systems to use as I really don't have that knowledge or experience, but I am currently doing a Silk course and am seriously thinking of doing a Liquid/Powder after this course finishes. I, personally love the Silks as I have had these extensions for 8 years and I personally prefer them over the Gel ones but each to their own. I have never had Liquid/Powder so I can't comment on that. However my tutor prefers L/P.

Good luck with whatever you decided hun.

Hiya

I'm trying to find training at the moment. I live in the Highlands, so far no colleges do any training apart from full beauty courses!!!!!!
