I'm just getting all the equipment needed to go mobile and I dont want to be carting a big steamer for facials around with me, I've seen the portable one available on beauty express, but was wondering if there was anything else i could use. I was told about one through a therapist that she uses, you heat up face towels and its heated up in something that is like a veg steamer, she got it through her skincare company but paid over £1000 for it and that was about 3 years. I cant afford something that costs that much. Any advise would be gratfull. Thanks

I very rarely use my steamer now. I use hot water / flannel mitts (the elemis ones are good because they have a thumb in) to remove cleanser and masks. They feel lovely, comforting and steamy and i put a few drops of lavender or geranium in the water.
Its surprising how many people dont actually like steam when given the choice and unless you are doing major extractions which i dont do much of now either, you dont really need to do it.
I spend more time on massage which softens the skin and is more beneficial for the skin and the client they like massage much more than steam.

Thanks, i might try doing that then.

I got a steamer from sally salon services online, its portable but I rarely use it, prefer hot cabbi for mitts. Keep an eye on sallys website as they quite often do offers for equipment! x
