hi all, ive got a client tomorrow who has had tips, not had them maintained for over a month as she has been away, her nail beds underneath are not good at all and she has got pink glitter tips and a glitter mix bed which she has painted over severall times with nail polish, i saw them yesterday and they dont look good.

should i soak um off - as she doesnt want the same colour again, i didnt do the last ones so dont have those colours anyway

i have a drill? can i take the colour right down - ???

can anyone make any suggestions as only have a 2 hour slot for her??
and am fully booked in afternoon so cant run over.

i sculpt dont usually do tips either - oh forgot to mention her natural nail is as long as the tips underneathxx

Me personally would soak off and give her a nice new natural nail overlay. :)

Why bother making more work for yourself taking down the glitter, blending in old knackerd acrylic, a soak would only take 20 mins and there's no need to give her a sculpt or tip if she has nice long nails anyway. xx

hi thanks for the advice her nail beds are naquered really bad, she should really give her nails a rest but she is a beautician and has to have her nails nice plus she wants enhancements so an overlay i dont think would be good do you?

I think I would save myself the hassle aswell and soak the whole lot off and start again, it would also let me see exactly what state her nails are underneath.
Since she's a beautician, and you say her natural nails are now as long as her existing enhancements, i don't see why an nno wouldn't be just right for her.
I wouldn't have thought she could have her nails too long in her job anyway.

should i overlay the whole bed with a cover pink then to hide inperfections, can is still do like some glitter on the end this way then, thanks for your support and helpxx

Yes cover pink is what I would do.

Make sure she books for two weeks infills. With new clients I make them pay for them with the first set (with a small discount and free solar oil) this way you know she won't leave them 4 weeks again

Using a nice cover pink to suit her skintone and applying a glitter/colour to the free edge in the same way as you would apply the white would look fine imo. ( Don't apply the glitter to thickly or you will end up with a bulky free edge and cap the enhancement in clear)

you could do that especially if she just wants french glitter tips, but it depends on what she wants doing, you may be able to mask the imperfections with whatever design she wants, you are better off assessing what to do once you see her nails they may not be as bad as you think when you take off all of the old acrylic which will make them look a whole lot worse. And you could end up saving yourself a lot of hassle xx good luck :)

soaked them off and you were right they were quite bad but not as bad as i thought, i done cover pink (not yet done a custom blend to suit clients skintone???) and roll out the red carpet ezflow tip overlay and sculpted 2 to match, think i did the right thing they did look lovely and she phoned me tonight to say how much she likes them, was brikin it a bit though!! xx thanks you so much for all your helpxx

Well done honey xxxxx hope it gives u a bit more confidence and you have gained a new regular xxx
