Hi peeps,

I have a problem and i need some advise please.

I have recently opened up a home salon and have been uber surprised with the response from leaflet drop and my handing out business cards when im in pubs!

Anyway, I had a lady call me to say she'd like her infills done. I asked where she had previously had them done so i could check out the product. I did explain to her that infilling over different product could result in shadowing, incompatability etc, might be different colours etc.
She said she would think about it and call me back.
Well she did and made an appointment.

I did some research and she has Creative product on her nails. I use a cheap product that to be honest i don't like (pink is awful colour, very cold) and i have had some lifting issues which are temp related.

So, do i keep the appointment and hope she is ok with nails and comes back for more infills or any other of the treatments.

Or do i cancel her and tell her i'll ring when i have done the conversion course and get myself booked on one asap? Possibly disappointing client never to see her again?

I think you have to honour the appointment, but tbh I do wonder why you're leaflet dropping when you're having lifting problems and are part way through your course....... Surely ironing out your problems on genuine guinea pigs and/or finishing training/converting first would have been more sensible?

I would do the appointment, work to the best of your ability with the product you have and take it from there. Accept you may have service breakdown and treat it as a learning curve in customer service. Also, I would stop marketing until you are happy with your product and your application.

I would be honest withher and explain that you use a product that you don't feel is as good but that you are soon to do a conversion to CND and at that time wil reward her with a free full set if she stays with you? I'd be impressed with that! :green:

Gigi that is the right answer!

Thankyou.

I knew there would be a solution but i couldnt see it for looking!

Ps the reason i advertise is i offer Mani's and Pedi's as well as waxing and spray tanning so need to earning money to pay for for the conversion!
To be honest this is the first booking i have taken for doing another techs infill's. I have done full sets and although the product is not the best the client gets value for money as i dont charge more than they are worth.
