Position: Senior Stylist
Employer: Josh Hair and Beauty
Location: Croydon, London
Days: Weekdays, Saturdays are required.
Job Type: Full Time
Times: 9:30am – 7:00pm
Pay: Dependant on experience.
This role will give you the opportunity to work in a professional, award winning salon along with self-promotion to boost your own portfolio. Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
· Building a Salon profile
· Maintaining clients
· Updating and creating consultation sheets for clients
· Handling complaints positively
· Take contemporary styles and transform them to other people
· Deliver high quality styles that are on trend to dynamic high end clientele.
· To provide clients with the highest level of service at all times.
· Advise the junior on your consultation and to inform them on how you would like your client to be prepared prior to your service.
· To inform the client of what products you are using and most importantly why you are using particular products on them.
· To ensure all clients are comfortable, content and at ease whilst in their care.
· Treat all clients with the upmost respect at all times.
· To be available to attend photo shoots as suggested by management.
· Utilize quiet times to introduce yourself to clients to make them aware of our beauty services and products.
· Try to resolve any complaints or misunderstandings with clients as soon as possible (be solution focused)
· To research new cutting styles and techniques and to practice them during training.
Job Requirements:
· Must be NVQ Level three qualified or equivalent with previous salon experience.
· Ability to work with European and afro hair types
· Have excellent cutting and colouring skills
· Have enthusiasm and a friendly personality.
· Able to work effectively within a team
· Want to learn new skills and maintain standards at a professional level.
· Use own initiative and be pro-active.
· Ability to weave cut and colour and relax afro hair.
· Be aware of contemporary trends and styles.
Expectations:
· Arrive on time to set up
· Black uniform, no trainers.
· Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Represent the brand well through all your dealings with clients.
· No Personal Calls – these are to be taken during lunch and not via the company phone.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and have an eye for detail.
· Dynamic, personable, well presented with high customer focus, must be Polite and personable.
· Excellent ability to work on your own and within a team.
· Strong work ethics and ability to meet tight deadlines.
