When you are enhancing nails, i.e L+P, at what age would you say " they are too young". Just wondering how everyone differs and your reasons for saying no.

I would do a teenager (with parents permission) but I am not keen on doing any younger than say 13. I have done one set on an 11 year old ( being a bridesmaid) and following advice by Geeg insisted they pay for removal at the time of application, to ensure they were safely removed.

I worry that youngsters will not appreciate the care required for enhancements and may pick and or bite them. HTH

Remember, whatever WE may personally think about children becoming adults too early .. it is not up to us in business to make decisions for other parents regarding their children.

Make your own age restrictions if needs be and if it makes you comfortable and then stick to it. I have done a few 13 year olds for weddings and special events and as Adele says, I always make the client aware that the price is for a full set AND removal (which is prepaid and prebooked). In that way, they can't get out of a safe removal service ... and if the child were to pick the enhancements off, you have the proof that they have already prepaid and been told about safe removal.

Well said!!

I do my sisters who is 11, but only in summer holidays because her school is really strict!

However I would never offer this service to anyone under 14/15 personally in work! I dont think they need it but thats not to say I would use my discretion on occasion, but I would tell the parents also to pay for the removal at the time of booking.

Every client is an individual though so its hard to say especially if you feel that this client may do it themselves at home using a shop bought kit or going to an NSS salon.
