Just wanted to say that I used this soak off gel today and it was fab....so much easier to use that the other soak offs I have used and the lady I spoke to at Nails Plus Beauty - home page was so helpful.

I've just got these too - great aren't they:)

i'd like to have another dabble with akzentz, i changed because i coulnt
stop the f/e lifting

Karen at Nailsplusbeauty...I guess thats who you spoke to....gets top marks for me for probably the best customer service in this industry!

do you ever have any f/e probs ?

Maybe not capping your free edge enough? I;ll see what mine come back like.

Zingara....your daughter looks so lush xxx

I use the Akzentz (buff off) gels and 99% of my work is NNO I have no free edge lifting at all.

Karen is fantastic !!!

hi i'd be really interested to see what you think, yer i cap well and freeze cure each nail incase of shrinkage

She is a absolute star, listened to me drone on for ages - that deserves an award in itself:green:

and your not filing the free edge after...or the clients...???

Good to hear some views on gels. I currently do Brisa but looking at switching in the future so I'll be watching this thread with interest. Has anyone used both Akzentz & Brisa? If so, how do they compare?

i only tested it on myself ( i have paper thin nails ) and a friend, i used surebond, and even tried a nonacid primer (this worked but then i couldnt soak off !) no filing after. i was gutted really because its alote cheaper than calgel !

I have used both and like both...at the time I switched I was looking for more choice re topcoats, whites and pinks.

I have 1 client who can, for what I can figure after many many months and many many trials of l/p and hard gels, can only wear a soak off gel, probably due to the flaxibility of it....the Akzentz white was beautiful, compared to the one I was using before, didn't yellow or bubble under the lamp.

There are some clients who ask for soak off gels....due to consumer marketing and that's what the client wants, so I oblige.

I found these gels extremely workable and the end result was so much better.....I will let you know what they come back like.

jist thinking about akzentz again, do you all use the bng with the options ? this is something i never did, i only used clear then colour / clear and french ?

sorry base and gloss

yes you should use the base and gloss with Options.

Just found this....

Options Colored Gels
Beautiful choice of shades. Options colored gels are easy to use, one step, self-leveling, durable, flexible gel with the added bonus of being able to soak off. Options colors deliver fantastic results on toenails, natural nails, and artificial nails when used a permanent nail color. Very thin and natural looking. Options Colors do not lift, chip or peel. Apply a thin coat of Base “N Gloss to the natural nail or toes (when applying over artificial nails you can miss this step) after you have taken all the shine off of the nail & tips, cleansed with nail prep and applied Sure Bond. Cure 2 minutes. Apply two coats of your choice of colour brushing on as you would nail polish. Cure each coat 2 minutes

oh flippin eck, i never did ! i remember phoning karen and i,m sure she said the options clear on its own under colour and straight on to the nail would be sufficiant (sp) instead of base and gloss, i wonder if that was all my f/e lifting was ???
