Hi there,

You'll need to excuse me as I'm new to this site.

I'm currently training to be a nail tech. My preffered products are Akzentz buff off gels. After prep, I normally use ultra white paint on, Natural coverage cool pink, natural pink followed by top coat, however can someone please tell me how and when you would use the Trilite as I have this in my kit. Also would this be a good gel to mix with glitters?

I look forward to all your advice

Thanks
Shaz

trilite is a one phase gel (not sure it is the English word) meaning base, builder and finishing one.
for glitters, I can't help you, what kind of effect are you after?

Thanks that explains it a bit better. So would that mean you would only use this gel? how many coats would you use?
As for the glitters, I currently mix glitter into clear top coat gels, and apply the glitter at the free edge instead of the white.

well, one thin layer for the base on a regular prep'ed nail, then it's your choice if you paint the french at that moment (what I would do)
then build your apex (one or 2 layers)
then your painted french if you didn't do it before
then your finishing layer.

for french's glitter with gel, I usually do the Free edge with a clear gel, then dip the finger in the glitters, the tap the finger so the loose glitters fall, catalyse, then re tap (you never know) and finally cover it with builder... so I can file it if needed.
and I mix it with my microveener gel, it's a clear gel that is too weak to be a builder, but white shining and nice to work with.

Great advise, thanks very much Doorie.
