Right, need advice opinions etc please!

Looking into doing training course for nail extensions - gel system to start off with. Thought i'd do my research before i jumped into any major expense! I was going to do Bio-Sculpture but then a friend of mine (qualified therapist for 16 yrs) advised against it as she didn't think it was that great. She recommended Alessandro. (Going to salon to try this on my own nails next week).
So... what do you think? Does anyone use Alessandro or has had it themselves? How does it compare to bio sculpture and other gel systems?

Any help would be much appreciated!

My I have not heard that name for a long long time. It is not a widely used brand in the UK but quite well known in Germany. It is not the same as Bio S. which tends to be more flexible as it is a soak off (removable) gel as opposed to a non soak off (must be removed with an abrasive) gel. The flexibility means that BioS is not as sturdy or strong as non soak off gels.

There are many different gels to choose from, one of the best being Brisa Gel form Creative Nail Design (CND), which is very strong ... does not have an uncomfortable 'heat spike', colour stable and the award winning CND offer the best training around.

Go to the search option above on the bar and search 'gel'.

I have tried Alesandro long time ago. Like Gigi said its more popular in Europe (Germany, Poland as well). It's a very expensive line, the clear gels have very lovely viscosity (I'm talking about the "file off gels").
When I tried them I remember they didn't have a nice white to work with. They only had "paint on white" (of which the price was outragous IMHO).

The only thing I did not appreciate is their form of advertizing. They (back then) claimed that their product is NOT a gel and not a "acrylic" so it doesn't damage the nails like those products do. :S

As far as I know they developed a soak off gel (very flexible gel) "especially" for natural nail overlays.

Personally I'm a believer that you can do natural nail overlay with any gel if your technique is right. There is no need for "special" gels.
Overlay or not overlay I still think that you have to structure the nail properly to make it last.
