I'm part time mobile and am noticing I have a problem. After doing nails I sometimes have a problem with my nose running, itching, and have noticed I sometimes have a migraine come on within a day (got one today after doing 1 set of nails yesterday). I'm gonna get some surgical face masks, but would also like to buy some kind of mobile dust/vapour extractor.

I know of the fuminator by NSI and the triangle shaped ones on Ebay, does anyone have an alternative to these that they love or swear by?

I love doing nail enhancements, and this is getting me down:cry:

Thanks

you need to look into getting an extraction ventilation system STAT. You have great resources over in the UK- just google extraction ventilator and you should come up with loads of info :)

Gosh I know exactly how you feel! I am part time mobile doing nails and I have noticed exactly the same things plus I get worried about all the dust on my chest coz I am constantly getting chest infections. It gets me down too coz I love doing nails and dont want this to stop me in my tracks!! x

You can also reduce the vapours greatly by working efficiently and not wiping your brush too much. Also try and sculpt with your brush and not with the file to reduce dust.

I must say that in doing my Creative masters, working efficiently was one of the things that made doing my masters so beneficial.

Why not have a chat with your Creative educator about how you work and the problems you are experiencing. You don't want to ignore major issues affecting your health. Good luck!
