I’ve got a client who has been nothing but hassle, when I fitted her hair extensions she said she loved them, a few days later she’s complaining about them texting me late at night saying she wants them removed and not saying very nice things about me to people which got back to me. I told her I didn’t have space to remove them for another 2 weeks but then 2 weeks later she’s messaging me saying she loves them again. I find her company makes me feel uncomfortable in my home (I work from home). She has messaged me me asking to book in for maintenance late notice and I hardly have any appointments left. As my aftercare says not having the maintenance can lead to hair damage am I obliged to do the maintenance? Or responsible if their hair is damaged from not doing the maintenance?

Hi,
Maybe I am not much of a help, but from my experience with ladies like this, you should be firm and explain in advance what extensions suppose and about their maintainance.
In this situation, I would explain what are the risks in not having them maintained and that because it came in short notice, you definitely recommend her to find another specialist that could help in this situation or refer her to somebody else that you know and can help, as I understand that you don’t have any free slot for her.. unfortunately we always struggle with appointments and we are trying to find best solutions, but sometimes is impossible to squeeze new ones on short notice..
Good luck!

I would say no.... she’s an adult, if you explained how important the maintenance was and she didn’t book in and now you’re booked up that’s her fault. Obviously double check with your insurance. What happens if you were on holiday or off sick when it needed doing? I’d tell her that unfortunately due to the short notice you haven’t got any appointments available in the time frame and I would suggest somewhere else for her to go. I would state it all in writing so that you have proof that you told her. Perhaps then next time suggest to future clients to book in maintenance when they are fitted so that you have explained you get booked up and don’t want to disappoint them when you can’t fit them in. Xx

People like her give me anxiety! I would be strict and rude x

Don't do it! Why should you be put out just because she can't get her s*it together? You don't need clients like her, she'll cause you nothing but anxiety and stress. Tell her you're booked up and leave it at that.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I just hate difficult clients

I wouldn’t do it.We all had clients like this
