Hello everyone. I'm quite new to the nail industry. I studied with NSI, finished my course in attraction L&P but still need practice and the final exam.

I have a question for you, I'm new to the UK (from America) and I met a lady the other day who said she does "Americans" I don't have a clue what she is refering to. What are american style nails here in the UK? I had my nails done many times in America, usually sculpted, but they seem to be the same as what I have been taught to do here.

would she be refering to the american manicure polish?
cream tip with a translucent pink over the top?

Maybe that's what she was refering to.. I was just wondering if I had missed something really obvious. She said americans were quite thick (the nail style not the people:))

perhaps she could be refering to the flared look of nail extensions which seems to be gaining popularity in the u.s.

when i was in the u.s recently they called my stiletto shape nails "russian style"

any way, i dont think you are missing anything. i would think thta its this particular techs own terminology.

Thanks for the reply :)
