My soon-to-be-15 year old son volunteered himself to me my lab rat for nails.....and I tried an experiment on him I wanted to share.
I recieved my Avolve trial kit last week (amazing stuff btw) so I came up with an idea for a "test" and proceeded to do a clear NNO on each of the fingers on his right (dominant) hand with each fo the systems I have on hand. Avolve, EZ Flow, Tammy Taylor and NSI. I used popits to apply, and did *not* use a UV topcoat.
The point of this experiment was to see how and when the sun would affect the clear NNO and the ease of application..
(I'm such a geek who needs a life, I know, but these things are important here in NZ cos our sun/UV is so wicked).
First - the setting and ease of application: the Avolve was the easiest to apply and quickest to set. Then the TT set, then EZF and then NSI.
A week on, we have crystal clear on the Avolve, a bit of "creaminess" starting on the EZF and the TT is definitely turning. The NSI looks cloudy to me.
Now this doesn't prove that one is better than the other, it just proves to me that the Avolve was definitely formulated with the UV issue here on this side of the world in mind.
So, in summary, I'm impressed greatly with the Avolve and do suggest that any of the geeks down here in NZ or OZ try it.
That is all! (Off to get a life....)
