A few of my clients have mentioned that they fancy having their nails airbrushed . . . . they are talking about French, occasionally fancy french, I don't think ANY would be wanting palm trees etc lol, my lot are so conservative.

I want to give them what they ask for . . . but have no clue as to how to use an airbrush. I could buy one, but without training I won't get the best from it. But any training I have seen is several hundred pounds (not including the cost of the airbrush equipment) and includes how to do all the multi coloured fancy designs and colour blends which I honestly don't think I would ever use. So I am reluctant to part with hundreds for the sake of the "whim" of a few of my (lovely) clients.

Is there a very basic course available, does anyone know, where they just teach you how the airbrush works, how to clean it, use it etc but without all the frills?

I know I sound like a cheapskate, not wanting to do a full course, but I'm just thinking how long it would be before I made back the investment, let alone made a profit on it:rolleyes: and then again there's all the time it would take.

Any advice would be wonderful, thanks xx

PS I already do Forever French they're just getting groovy ideas - all variations on a french lol

Well I agree with you .. not worth the money to learn to do all the tricks etc if all you want to do is do French and to maintain and use the brush. Is there not an airbrushing geek near you who would teach you how to do that? Heck if I was there I'd teach you in a New York Minute hun. x

I learned Airbrushing with the Essential Nails complete course. I do believe you can buy the DVD on its own. This will show you everything you need to know - unless you can find someone able to show you 1 to 1.

Do think carefully as the cost of the airbrush and the compressor, plus paints and stencils is a reasonable amount.

What if you spend out on this and they have it done once.

An alternative might be to try and find some of the nail art stickers - Nailtopia do some.

At least this way they can see if it is something they would have on a regular basis.

i bought the gina wallace essential nails airbrush home learn dvd and it is fab.i did some research to find out about a good airbrush and then i bought a second hand one that came with some stencils and paints.i did it this way purely so that if i didnt like it or get on with it i could jut sell it and get my money back.
there is a picture of some airbrush french maniure nails that i did after a few attempts and i think they came out quite good.
im the same as you i only wanted to be able to a french manicure and not get to technical as i dont have any call for that type of thing.hths and good luck.xx
