OMG cant wait cos hubby taking me on holiday to Thailand on 8th Novemebr i cant wait. Iv not lost any weight so im trying not to let that put me off.

Iv got coldsores on my mouth that kep coming up n down has anyone got any tips on how to ease them off a little as they look n feel awfull???

So has anyone one been and got any advice on Thailand that you would like to share please?

I've not been to Thailand, so have no comments to make but regarding cold sores, try Zorvirax (available at chemists and supermarkets) ... it takes away that continuous tingling feeling you get, and dries it out pdq. In fact, it's best to apply as soon as you can sense that tingling sensation starting.

HTHs and you have a wicked holiday in the Far East.

Don't accept any massages or sexual favours from any "girls" Just being cheeky, my friend said when she went with her husband everything was wonderful but there were always "women" (i.e. thai boys that look very much like the real thing) waiting outside their hotel trying to approach any man who walked by and offer a 'massge', regardless of whether he had a partner or not.

My advice here would be only to get treatments done by spa's in the hotels. Not to turn you off at all though! Her pics were wonderful and everyone I know who has been has had an amazing time! Try going on an elephant ride!

I adored Thailand and will definitely be going back. Bangkok is completely different from the rest of the country. Buzzing, exciting, a little scary.

The rest, well, the bits I've seen, are fascinating. The nicest people in the world (so far) I've ever met, they make you feel so calm and happy, the spa hotels and the staff are wonderful.

Where are you going? I'm so envious, you lucky thing!

...and don't let hubby go into a taxi office to wait for a cab. He might find out, like my cousin did, as he was sitting on a bench and men were going out one by one as they were called, that they weren't going into a cab. It was a brothel waiting room he was in! LOL

Not been to Thailand, but have been to other countries in the Far East. I'd say take plenty of money. Not that things are expensive, you'll find them wonderfully reasonable, but you'll just see so much stuff that you just HAVE to buy.

So take old clothes you can wear and throw away, so that you have room in your luggage for all your purchases. Don't be like me and return with 38kg of weight. Strangely they didn't charge me for it. I wasn't complaining! LOL

Decide now if you want to get anything made when you are over there clotheswise. If so, take a picture from a magazine of what you want and they will make it up made to measure for you for in silk for much less than you would pay for an off the peg polyester number over here. Hey, that's just reminded me, I have a black silk suit I could maybe wear to the Event party....hmmm

You'll have a wonderful time. Enjoy! xx

Thanks for all the tips, that made me laugh with the taxi waiting room lol.
Anyway we are going to "Chai Am" its a little quiter but we are hoping to see Bankok one day if possible, yes we want to go on an elephant ride but im not over keen on the monkey thing!
We are wanting to see "The bridge over the river qui" {spelling} as i love abit of history!
Also i love to see temples etc so getting getting excited now if only could get rid of this cold as i feel crap! iv got zovirax and it makes them worse on me i think tbh.I used bonjela the other day to try n ease the pain alittle which i must say did!

Anymore advice ooooo yes what shall we do about the money get Thai money from here or buy it over there havnt got a clue??
