I want to come and work in L.A in america!! Can anyone help me where to start and look for a job!!! Or anyone own a salon near by!!!

I don't think you will find it easy to get a Visa to work in the U.S.

It is also my understanding that techs have to be licensed so it is doubtful that UK qualifications will be of any use to you. HTH

They're all bonkers in LA anyway! I had the misfortune to see a truly appalling television programme the other evening based in LA. It was like watching a train crash. Sunset Tan I think it was called. My husband had to switch off the television in the end because I was ranting like a mad old bat at it.
I swear the sun has frazzled their brains.
Awesome. Ahem.

I love this program for comedy effect, it's exactly how not to run a tanning shop! It's hilarious! I should think however it's probably not right to judge all people from LA by this program!! ;)

its mega hard to get a visa for america , for a start you have to get your license
then you would have to get a job , which isnt that easy coz they usually have to prove an american cant do the job
then they would have to go through the nightmare of red tape to get you a work permit !

so unless you can go over on a recce , do the licensing exam (which you will have to prove x amount of hours training and work ) i very much doubt you will get far at all :irked:

sorry hun , dont wanna sound like a wet blanket , but i know wot its like , as we are emigrating to canada ,and the situation is pretty similar form wot i have heard xxxx

Calla, it sounds fantastic, ha ha!
What station was it on? and when? I'd love to have a laugh at it!

um, I think it's on E entertainment (I use the word loosely) channel on a Sunday evening. I daresay if you google it you might find some more information about it. What I can tell you is that if I ever met "Nick" in real life I'd be hard pushed to not slap him.
