Hi

I've recently been approached by an Arbonne Rep regarding this product range. I agreed to try the products which I did and they didn't wow me. I have been in the industry for 15 years and have worked with many product ranges. The product felt synthetic to me. Although the rep said they are completely natural. I asked what professional treatments they offer and start up costs. He said it was all in the brochure which it wasn't. I asked many questions but the rep just seemed out of his depth. I've looked on here and also other sites to research the brand etc but it's looking more and more like a pyramid scheme and that you don't have to be a professional to sell it. So therefore it can't be a 'Professional Product" if it's not sold in salons only.
I was wondering if there are any experianced Therapists out there using it in their salons and what they think of the treatments, training, results and the company in general?

Thanks

x

I was approached by an Arbonne rep too, went to the meeting and thought product sounded brill until I tried it, I also felt the products were quite synthetic. I asked about selling in salon but you need to become a rep and to be honest I think it sounded like an upper class Avon! It all sounded a bit complicated to me...Laura x

From the research i've done online people are either Therapists who haven't used it and wouldn't go get involved with this range or people that are reps who are fiercley passionate about it and won't have a word said against it.
I was wanting to see if any salons do actually use it and the feedback they've had.

I don't think I will take the product on as it doesn't feel right to me.

Thanks.

Yes all my rep kept going on about was getting a white mercedis if they made targets!! x

Its pyramid selling at its finest! I heard the very same thing when I had a visti from their reps. Its all in the brochure. No it isn't! I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole! There are so many other great brands out there. Moorspa is very popular x x

As said I think it's an up Market Avon. Someone in my hubby's office sells it.

Hi everyone,
After reading the responses of many of you i felt I wanted to reply. Im a salon owner and District Manager for Arbonne and I am using the products in my salon. I was attracted to Arbonne because its Swiss Formulated and they still have after 30 years there own Institute of Research and Development out there. I wanted to offer an Ultra Premium brand to my clients at a cost that they can afford. Arbonne is not an awful lot more expensive than Dermalogica.
Other draws for me were the fact that they do not put Parabens in there products, or mineral oils, chemical perfume, animal products or animal by products.
I am able as an appointment based business to sell it off the shelf at full RRP or to offer my clients a Prefferred client membership which gives them 20% off for the year and delivery direct to the door. I believe "Avon" ladies have to deliver.
With regard to the Pyramid selling comments, do you know what they are? because if you did you would know they are illegal in the UK. Arbonne is a Multi level marketing business. I can exceed the earnings of my sponser which takes me above them. Other multi level marketing businesses are Virgin Vie and Pampered Chef for instance.
In essence all we do is show our clients how to redirect there neccessary spending on make-up, skincare, babycare, sun creams etc to Arbonne. These are all things myself and my family need and buy but this way as a District manager I now not only buy at a 35% discount but i also earn commission on top of my own personnal orders. Not bad for someone who has to shower and wash there hair anyway, why line the pockets of the other stores when we can earn for ourselves.
Im very sorry that some of you have had disappointing service from your reps all I can say is we are not all the same.
There is fantastic training and support plus online ordering and an Excellent Customer service department. So if you would like to find out more and be correctly advised please message me.

Thanks for the information. I too, have been approached several times about Arbonne products but I am not sure about the overall process of buying stock for the salon and retailing the products.

The quality of the products were fine when I sampled it and I can't fault any of them. However, what is so special about Arbonne? If it is so special, why don't many people know about it?

How would my clients be able to afford the prices that Arbonne products are sold for? The night cream for example is over priced to me! One client said to me, she didnt know about the product, so wont buy it.

I don't understand why as a Consultant I would have to pay £xx for a fee, plus order products between £xx and £xxx on a monthly basis. Even if I am not a consultant I would have to pay a certain fee to get products?

Part of me would really like to stock this product, as I would like to improve the services I offer in my salon, but the other part of me is saying that this is a complicated and expensive process - and what would I be getting out of it?

I was given the number of a Therapist who is using the product. She swears by it and her clients seem to be buying it happily. Saying that, she confirmed that she was splitting the bag that a certain amount of products are bought it to make it affordable for clients. That still equated to over £xxx

xx

I am a nail tech and a District Manager with Arbonne. I use Arbonne products in all of my services and my clients love them! Many are now loyal Arbonne customers themselves. I totally understand where many of you are coming from, thinking that this is "just a pyramid scheme". It took my friend 4 years to convince me to try the products let alone look at the business. Unfortunately there are scams that try to play themselves off as MLMs. Once I finally educated myself, I discovered that Arbonne has an amazing opportunity and fantastic products. Nothing sketchy about it!
A big part of the reason Arbonne is distributed through independent consultants is that it doesn't contain all of the icky preservitives required to mantain a long shelf life. Most products on store shelves were manufactured 2-3 years before the consumer ever touches them. Arbonne products are delivered directly from the manufacture to the consumer, no middlemen. I am sorry if some of you have had less than wonderful encounters with Arbonne in the past but I would be happy to answer any questions (truthfully, really) you may have. :)

Any pro range that you choose for your salon will have profit built into the RRP. Most ranges will not have complicated minimum spends etc.
MLM has been around for years as a business model, but generally only people at the top level earn any real money.
If the products are fine, why would a company set itself up in such a way that suggests it is dodgy? The whole scenario suggests dodgy!
Maybe they should just have faith in their products and sell them in a straightforward and businesslike manner.
