Hi all

I've just been going back over old threads and, being a newbie to this industry, I just feel so overwhelmed and confused! I keep coming across words and phrases and products and techniques I've never heard of, and can't think how I'm going to understand it all! Any other newbies feel like this?

You'll find some terms shortened, this article should help a bit... http://www.salongeek.com/misc-articles/35663-message-board-lingo.html

If there are any techniques that you're not sure about I would suggest doing a search first, and if you can't find the answer then do a thread to ask, or you could ask on this thread being as that's what the thread is about

hth's :wink2:

Cerries, its completely normal to feel bemuzed by everything when you are a newbie. keep logging on and learning as often as you can and all will beconme familiar and clear as you learn. Good Luck. heres a little tip to start you off......watch out for words of wisdom from Geeg and Mum . x

Hi, I think we all did when we first trained but just ask and someone will always let you know what the words and phrases mean ,
:) x minky

All of us felt that way when we first started!! Just hang in there, in time it will be second nature. Don't try to learn it all at once, maybe learn one new thing or word/phrase a day/week (whatever is comfortable for you). Setting little goals that are reachable is better than going for a big goal that seems too huge to grasp.
