Just like the title looking for anyone who runs a girls salon/party room that does Kids pamper parties?

I do a lot of pamper parties, it’s a nice additional service and they are getting really popular but wouldn’t want to do more than 1 or 2 a month as they are fun but exhausting! Normally do mine at the end of the day on a Saturday or sometimes a Sunday if I can’t accommodate the Saturday.

Thanks for the reply,I'm looking to do them Friday after school Saturday & Sunday but hopefully this will be my main income,so looking to be fully booked most weekend s,I understand they will be tiring lol but I've got 3 kids I'm used to it,just wanted to know if they are popular and get lots of bookings and how you run them? What you do for a kids party? Thanks

Hi love I tried it and it was a complete flop. Everyone said I was too expensive. £16.95 per child [emoji23]

It worked out better for me financially to have beauty and hair fill that time instead.

Hope it works for you though x

I have a minimum of 6 children and a max of 12 although my very first one was 15 five year olds [emoji23].
I allow 2 hours and they get party hairstyles (curls, braids, buns, spacebuns, glitter partings etc, colour hairspray or hair chalk. Then mini mani & pedi, glitter makeup, temporary tatooes , all depends on age, we tailor it to suit. For younger ones under 7 we do games such as pin the horn on the unicorn, pass the parcel and over 7 they like musical statues and I have prizes. They normally have a birthday cake and we all sing happy birthday and
I lay on a light buffet of finger food and pink lemonade and they get a little goody bag when they go.
Mums in my area go all out for their kids birthday and even though they spend all that on the party with a party bag included, lately the mums have taken to buying robes and getting all the girls names embroidered on them as a take home treat and then often take the kids out to a local restaurant after or do a sleepover! These kids have a lovely life!

Daydreams, can I ask if you do these on your own or do you have staff in that help? (Not sure on the size of your salon )

I tried them & hated them, but I was on my own & felt completly overwhelmed lol!

Xx

Thanks for the replies,I'll be doing them on my own but will only have 6 kids max. Any more I would need help,Im thinking the main thing is keeping the other girls amused while you work on one but I've worked out some activities and things they can do,I'm also going to have a selection of kids magazines,my hubby did suggest having a Wii computer and letting them play just dance which could work I think it'll be trial and error for the first few till I get a routine...here's hoping lol x

Never on my own lol, that would be chaos. Normally 3-4 of us. Even the prep before takes time as I like the salon decorated with balloons and banners etc and then getting the food and drink ready. I have another stylist helping me with hair, my sister normally comes to help out with the nails (she & her kids gets free hair all year round from me so it’s a fair swap!) and my Saturday girl loves doing the glitter tattoos and sparkly makeup for them. It works well like that and means each child gets a good amount of time spent on them without too much waiting around. I do enjoy it as it’s a chance to experiment with different party styles and the kids are normally lovely and crack me up with their conversations! . Also did a 13th one for one of my clients daughters who has autism and she had her friends from the specialist school she attends. was really worried about them not wanting to participate or enjoy it. one child was happy just to watch but her other friends all loved it . Here’s a pic of one of my recent ones!

See I will be renting and can't really afford to have anyone helping me that's why I'll be keeping it to small numbers,I'm under no illusions it'll be hard and as you say chaos but I'm hoping the more I do the more I get a good routine,I am giving myself half hour between parties to get organized for the next,I'm just doing candy buffets so will just top the sweets up,the birthday decorations will all be up and I'll just add any balloons that maybe burst/taken away, tidy up and ready for the next,I'll probably start early in the morning and have everything I need organised as much as I can,is there anyone does these parties on there own?

For the younger ones, while they are waiting I print out princess colouring in sheets from google and supply pens and crayons and ask them to colour me one in with a prize for the best. Little girls seem to love that!

That's what im going to do lol and then a prize for the best one like a wee packet of sweets, for older girls I'm going to print off face sheets and get them to do makeup on them, still using pens, pencils, maybe gems and again pick a winner just coming up with ideas to keep them amused

Can I ask do you give party bags? I'm looking at what I could put in these and how to keep the costs down on each one thanks

So if you had a Saturday assistant that would be a big help for the day with setting up etc and tidying up after and depending on age about £30 a day so they can do the makeup/ nails while you do the hair. It’s a lovely job for a 15/16 yr old still at school and not much to pay for all that help. Or pay someone maybe £15 to just come for a few hours?

Yes I bulk buy things when I see good things and have a goody box I keep stocked up to make them.
Amazon and Poundland is quite good and primark.
Anything from loom bands, a hair chalk, nail varnish and file, hair bands, sweets, bubbles. For under 7 I put in a wand and a tiara.

Thanks for all the advice really appreciate it,I'll see how I go to begin with and see if they are popular and I can get the bookings,if it becomes really busy then I'll hopefully be able to take someone on to help out,I've got lots of work ahead of me getting up and running, everything is just happened this week,so I have given myself till February to get the room all done,(I'm going to make it completely girly as possible as it's only going to be used for this so want to make it look the part) and I need to get all my package & prices sorted, marketing, sort out all my insurances I'm actually wonder inf what I've let myself in for becoming my own boss lol x

I think you will find they are popular. Do a flyer advertising them to put in your party bags along with maybe a new client discount voucher & price list for your other services.
I normally always get 1 more booking from each party.
