Do any of you just do lash extensions as your sole business? If so how much business do you roughly get per week? Im hoping to do lash extensions around my two young children as a bit of extra cash but not sure how it would work in terms of hours (going mobile). Was hoping to do evenings and weekends?

The majority of my business comes from lashes although I do offer other treatments, and 90% want evening appointments. If you could do 2 infills a night each week night you can earn a couple of hundred a week it will just be a case of getting a regular client base. The only thing I would say as a word of warning as I have a baby and step daughter not to mention a husband to look after! I struggle to juggle squeezing dinner in for us all and have to be extremely organized! But if you want to make it work you can!

Thanks for your reply! Yes I would imagine you do need to be very organised! My husband is making me doubt I can do it as he keeps asking when I'm going to fit all this in
but after being a sahm for nearly 3 years I want to do something different. I'm just worried that I won't be able to fit many people in and if I can't fit enough people in will it even be worth my while?

Hello,

Lashes is 95% of what I do.

I work full time and then do lashes in evening, two days in a salon and two mobile, all I can recommend is take one day for you time/family time it really hits you hard if you do everyday!
organisation is key :)
Hope that helps! X

I don't do lashes but have opened a salon.

I have 3 children a d husband who works full time. It is hard work but it sooo worth it. I had a day a day off yesterday after working for 3 weeks solid it was lovely. I can't see another day off for ate at 2 weeks, so that's the school holidays gone :( if your determined to make it work it works. You just loose any free time you had. I still managed to go out every evening for 1 thing it another last week so ant be all that bad ! :)

YOU SOUND LIKE ME TWO YEARS AGO!!! I only started eyelash extensions as something to do when my two sons were in school! At the time, I set up a beauty bed in my home and took clients in the mornings only. People who were working but had a day off during the week started getting them done with me, and then retired ladies who heard of me through word of mouth. In those days, because I wasn't that flexible and really really took my time doing a set, I only had around 3 clients a week!!!
However, I decided as time went on, to just go with it and take risks and things are alot different now.

I started with eyelash extensions about 6 weeks ago only as a bit of extra money while my boy is at preschool, I planned on 2-3 clients a month!!
I now do 5-10 a week and really struggle to fit my clients in! I end up giving up any free time I have to make sure I accommodate everyone but it's become exhausting and I will soon have to get strict with myself and book a day off!!
I have found tho that doing them all the time can be a bit much so I'm now starting to do other treatments just to give myself some variety (although not sure where I'll find the time lol)
But yes, with practice, patience and organisation it is very much worth doing :)
Good luck! Xx

I solely specialise in lashes, and I have 26 clients this week. And am exhausted! I have usually 20 to 25 a week. It's very popular. And I have definately made a good living out of it, but suffer from major back pain :( I do love it though. Lashes is an art, I know lots who have tried and failed, you need the time to practice!! Xx

For all those experienced ladies can you please tell me how long it took you to build your business?

I have a full time job and I do lashes on the side as extra income for the past year or so, things get busy around the holidays but generally its kind of slow, i have had some regular clients for months at a time but can go a month with no clients at all.

Many people are interested but then end up flaking :(

What is the best way to get people interested?

Thanks in dvance
