Hi , hoping some of you lovely geeks can help me to choose my new lamp. The Cuccio and the ASP will both cure my gels ( NM and wattage are compatible) Similar in size, but I cannot decide which one to have.
I don't do UV gels so no need for anything more than purely LED gel lamp.
My larger lamp takes up too much desk space so I want to still use it for pedicures as it sits very well on my pedicure chair.
Thanking you in anticipation.

I've got the cuccio one, it's quite large but fairly sturdy. It takes up a fair bit of desk space, don't know about the asp one. Do you have the dimensions to compare?
Just measured the cuccio it's roughly 21cm wide 18cm depth 8.5cm in height.

Thankyou but I don't have the dimensions of the 2 lamps sorry. However my large Asp lamp though is 25 x29 cms. How does it compare to yours?

Perhaps give asp a call to ask dimensions?

That's a great idea thankyou.
However, I may well have the cuccio one if you are happy with it. The dimensions are better than my current one and it is a good brand, and will deliver what I need.
Thankyou so much!!!

I’ve had a few Cuccio lamps and none lasted long....

Oh dear, I wasn't expecting that!
Thanks very much for your help.
Back to square one for me, unless they have improved their quality control.

I have over 200 Cuccio veneers and always chose their lamps but I was disappointed with them. I do lift my lamp up and down from my desk so that may have been a contributing factor however I do very little gel polish and usually use my lamp 6 or 7 times per day for top coat only.

I also changed brands after asking for training several times and getting no reply from my rep.

I don't use cuccio now so I've only used the cuccio lamp a few times so don't know how long it would last under normal use....not long by the sounds of it!

I had the ASP lamp a few years ago. That didn't last long either, about a week over a year. It was enormous too!

There is 20% off at Cuccio this weekend though if that sways you. The code is 20OFFWEEKEND

Thankyou so much for everyone's support. I have had no issues with my ASP lamp, probably as I don't have many gel polishes per week so I am not using it as much as you whom specialise in nails. However I could just be lucky as it doesn't have a lot of useage.
Does anyone know of a lamp with the 405 nm cure that is a better brand for cuccio?
I have seen the 20% in my email box yesterday so thankyou for that too.
How helpful you all are xx

I also am experiencing similar problems with Cuccio Ciderella. How interesting. Our first lamps failed within guarantee. I was pleased to be given new replacements and bought a couple of extra lamps as back up. Of course getting these extra lamps meant that the lamps lasted until just out of guarantee before failing.

We are also still waiting to hear back from training.

I'm thinking about getting a new range. I can't be doing with lamps letting my reputation down.

I’ve since moved from Cuccio veneers to The Gel Bottle and I’m very impressed with them. Unfortunately I also had customer service issues after ordering their lamp and eventually cancelled the order.
So I’m now using Kiara Sky lamps as I mainly use their top coat over acrylic. They are cordless which suits me as I move them often and I’ve never had any issues with curing.

Hi there , just thought I would update, so thankyou everone
So I bought the ASP curve lamp from salon services yesterday , don't know if I have made a mistake until a few treatments down the line. It's tiny compared to the monster large lamp I had before so all my paraphenalia fits on my table at last.
My dear hubbie , electronics engineer thinks it's a very flimsy piece of kit, and whilst I am not keen on the power supply instead of the integrated lead , it will have to do for now. It has 12 months warranty and will cure my more structure gel products because it's slightly more powerful.
I have used it today on myself , dear hubbie has 2 nails with structure gel on and had 1 client with IBX.
There are more leds in the machine and there are 2 very well placed to cure the thumbs properly. I was fed up with my "not paying attention "clients whose constant positioning in the lamp was always questionable because their thumbs managed to fall out of the lamp.
Lets face it our eyes are on the down position doing the other hand whilst they only have to keep the hand in one position for 30 secs, but they can't seem to do that sometimes.LOL
So I will let you know if it is a duffer and I will be back to search again.Ha Ha x
