I found a range of make up on ellisons today called colourmatix, has anyone heard of it or tried it, what do you think?xx

We had to use this at college and everyone complained bitterly about it. I found the foundations greasy, the colour correctors are so thick that they are very difficult to blend and the powder goes on blotchy. Sorry, but I can't recommend it.

It's pretty yucky stuff, I'm afraid. The green concealer wouldn't be out of place on the wicked witch of the west's face.
We too had to use it at college and I was told that we MUST use this kit or we wouldn't pass. So I lashed out on crap cosmetics only to be told a couple of weeks later that "oh no, as long as you have all the basic components of a makeup kit you can use whatever you like" Grrrr.
My advice is to find products that you really like, start small (if you can't afford to get a comprehensive kit) and add to it.
I use Cozmetic Lab mineral makeup which is great. I use it on brides, makeup makeovers, lessons and proms. I sell lots of it because it's brilliant, and clients love it.
It's not cheap to start up with them, but you'll end up spending that amount anyway over time.
That said, I use Chanel's green concealer, Chanel's Blanc de Chanel primer, and Clinique's under eye concealer, because they are all fab.
You will find that most pro MUAs will use products from several different houses because they (like me) choose best of breed, rather than stick slavishly to one brand.

Thanks guys for your comments!
Ill stay clear of that then.
xx
