Aqua,water nail

hi ya,i'm pretty new to all this.love nails and nail art .hoping to find someone who can help me,really want to find out how to do the water nail.thank you.

What exactly you mean by "water nails"?

i think it might be called aquarium nail,it's a nail tip with water inside with glitter stars and stuff like that.really want to try it.

Hi Tanny,

To make a aquarium nail you need to stick 2 clear tips together with L+P or clear gel along the side walls and the free edge, leaving the well of the tips open to allow you to fill with water and glitter.

Once you have added the water, glitter and whatever else you want to put in them, you seal up the well with more L+P or gel.

Keep in mind though, these nails are quite thick and can be bulky, and are more of a novelty and most clients would prefer a proper enhancement.

ok thanks for that.i wanted to try it on myself.um what is L+P? also once i have done all that and glued to my nail do i put acylic over it or leave as is.thanks again for all your help

There is a link somewhere to a water nail using those plastic wiggly eyes from kids stickers and syringing water into that ....think that would be easier to L&P over x

L+P is short for liquid and powder, and yes once you have glued the nail on. you will have to seal your nail with acrylic.

I always use the "eyes" for kids (you can buy them in a hobbystore) when I do the waternail. Just use a sharp knife to make a cut on the side so you can take out the black eye and put the desired glitter/dazzels in. then take a (I dont know what it is called in english but its the device that you would take a bloodsample with, with the needle on) and you put water into the eye. close the opening with gel or acrylic. then you can apply it on the nail whereever you want on the nail. Seal with gel or acrylic. :smack:
