I’ve been using a yoga block. Client rests her arm with her wrist Slightly off the block to allow me to move her fingers.

A rolled table towel. Fold lengthwise into thirds turn one end in. Roll and flatten from the long end. Secure with T-pins.
I call it a wrist rest.
