Hi guys, did these set of sculpted nails on a friend of mine who hates the 'fake' look of acrylics. This was my attempt to show her acrylics don't have to look fake. I spent a while last night mixing different powders to try and create a natural looking free edge colour, let me know what you think, it would be appreciated. OH I could not work out how to add more pics but ther are two more in my album 'my work' in my profile

i think you've done a good job,well done.x

I was just like your friend when I started out. Didn't like too white edges, stilettoes and the like.
But gradually I got the taste for it. And how!
You've done very well as a tech, IMO .
But too me it looks too plain. The colours would be suitable for a man - without extending the nail of course and with a mat finishing.
But as for a girl.. I don't see the point. Perhaps a stylized version with some 'beige' edges would look better.

I think they look great. You have done exactely what you set out to do-prove that extensions can look natural.
I do agree with Ris above, but sometimes you just want a natural look without all the designs.
Well done
x

Personally, this is my FAVE look. :)

Hi there and thanks to you all for taking the time to comment :)

I don't see the point. Perhaps a stylized version with some 'beige' edges would look better.

Just in response to the comment above, the point was that in this case the client had very short nails (should have taken a before shot) and wanted to extend her free edge but absolutely did not want it to be obvious that she had done so ;) As soon as I`d finished her nails she ran to her jewelery box and put on all her rings that had not saw the light of day for quite some time

Thanks to all for the encouragement xxxxx

I think the free edge colour is very good...the overall nail looks very natural and just how i personally like them too. Well done x

I love them, but I have always liked a natrual looking nail I always think it shouts, classy, well manicured lady, :)

These are fabby, I love a natural simple look. Good job :)

they look like natural nails which is what i think you were going for....so well done xxxx

I think they look great, just like her natural nail!!

I love them too, i have a couple clients that have short natural nails and want them extended with this natural look... its definitely not pointless! what color did you use on the free edge?

These look really good! I love this look and is one I wear alot!
I use Gigi's mix and it looks brilliant. I get tem admired lots and I love it when I have to convince people that they are acrylics!!
Well Done!! xxx

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback

I think it`s my fave look, although I do like my coloured acrylics too :)

For the free edge I mixed soft white, clear, pink masque and a touch of yellow, had to play around till the mix looked right but got there in the end!

xxxx
