hi all i brought a range of attitude polishes in october 2009 and i wondered if anybody else is having the same problems, when applied it all bubbles up like there are loads of tiny air bubbles in there it is really thick and gloupey? I always prep properly before applying the polish etc it is so frustrating doing a polish application and it goes like this all the time and have to take it all off.
I am looking into changing over to creative nails or china glaze which do you think is better??
thanks in advance :) xx

It is possible that it has been shaken too much, which will incorporate the air bubbles.

I have used both Creative and China Glaze and liked them both very much, but Creative has much more combination possibilities with the new colour and effects.

Ive never had the bubbling problem with star nails but bought a load of sinful polishes and guess what they all bubble its so annoying i spent a small fortune on them aswell the colours are lovely but quality pants. star nails i find is thick i stick with O.P.I and Orly now but creatives a lovely polish to work with.;)

I use Attitude Polishes, I've not had any problems with mine.

I was told to roll polishes and not to shake them, maybe that could be it? Maybe use a polish thinner in it to get them back to the right consistency?

:)

strangely enough i had the same problem last week. i put it down to the fact that I mixed two half bottles of opi top coat. its actually top and base coat. second attempt same result....(it was also a little on the thick side i noticed. b/f reckoned when i put base coat on there was a chemical reaction.... so I binned it in the end....xxx

no i never shake my polishes i always roll them so cant be that i dont know what to do seems such a waste of polish but i am really drawn to creative polish and china glaze so thinking of re stocking with either line not sure which one to go for yet though? maybe get a thinner and try that first before chucking them out but what i dont get is that some of them are brand new and use for first time and it does the same :( xxx

i have attitude as well, and its fine. i wonder, try a different base /top coat? let me know.xxx

It's been warm lately, keep polishes in a cool dark place, that might help preventing bubbling.

Was it a red one ? I stopped using Attitude because I had this prob

no it is all of them and have been having the problem since i brought them last year think i am just going to change to creative polish

i had the same prob last week with attitude polishs, but then read it could be down to the layers not being left long enough to dry , so tried leaving it longer and its working alright-touch wood no bubbles yet.

I used attichude when i 1st started and had about 25 colours i thought they was great as i didn't know any diferent but then i tried OPI and that changed me i gave all the attichude away. opi, creative orly all go on the nail much smoother and are great to work with i have tried china glaze as well and they was good too. When i trained we was tole to keep our polishes in a fridge!!!! but its not always practical.

Leighton Denny was on QVC the other day and he said bubbles appearing in a manicure was a result of polish coats being too thick meaning the varnish couldn't dry properly. To be fair, I do notice when polish has thickened up a bit it's more likely to happen.

I have had the same problem. I dont like the polishes and so im converting to a different range. I have tried all sorts with them but still lots of tiny bubbles and very gloopy. Not impressed. x

hi i´ve had this problem aswell it´s very anoying! i don´t use attitude anymore, i found they went thick aswell. I use CND now and don´t have any probs never have to put thinner in either.

yeah i used to use attitude nail polishes but i found that they went quite thick and sticky quite quickly:sad:. i now use CND and so far i am loving them;)

I also bought quite a few attitude polishes before I first set up. Totally regretted it. Many of them bubbled terribly, though a few were fine. It made no difference how they were applied or what I did. A couple of colours were bubbling a mere minute after applying them and looked dreadful even before I had finished! I had never seen a polish do this in my entire life. Most of them were taking 20-30 minutes to bubble.

But I did find that some of the colours seemed to be a thinner consistency and applied to the nail nicely. The problem ones were slightly thicker even upon first opening them. The thicker consistency was quite hard to apply to the nail, the brush would drag along the nail and make a streaky mess, so it was hard to apply these ones in really thin layers. I tried three super thin layers which went streaky and still had a few bubbles.

I ended up doing a nail paint on myself with each of the colours, made a note of the ones that bubbled, and put them aside so I wouldn't use them on clients.

Yes they are cheap, so you think they are great in that sense for starting up, but I wasted over 50 quid buying them as I had to change brands to get a decent result. There's no point using polish that bubbles like this when there are plenty brands that don't, even if you apply it on the thick side. The small few that were ok I have kept. I now use SpaRitual and can apply that as thick as I like and have no problems at all with bubbling. The problem polishes left over I might use to apply something tiny like a few dots in a nail art design.

Edit: By thy way, I was using attitude base coat and top coat too.

hey, ive had my attitude polishes since november and they've been fine. I keep all my polishes in the garage as it's cool in there, i dont want them getting heated and cooled in this heat. I also roll my polishes instead of shaking. I did my own man and ped last night to check them out due to your post and used 2 differn't reds and they were fine. I wonder if maybe your base coat is reacting with them?
