Hello Geeks,
I was thinking of doing A baby massage instructors course but its expensive have any of you done the baby massage would it be wothwhile investing in??????????? confused:confused:

Hiya,
yes I've been doing baby massage since 1999, don't know why you've put it in nail geek though.

I used to be rushed off my feet teaching baby massage, did about 3 classes a week, and used to provide classes for sure start and did talks at the local parentcraft.

This was great!

Then all the sure start staff, health visitors and some midwives got trained up in it, which is fantastic, but as they offer classes for free, my classes dwindled and I obviously my sure start work dried up (in fairness to them, they did tell me upfront their intentions).

I am also freelance baby massage instructor at a local spa, but only get asked to go in about twice a year.

It is very worthwhile, BUT check what your competition is first. If all of the local surgeries are offering it for free, you may struggle to get bookings.

Have you got a local NCT group? Do some market research with them, they have branch magazines that you could advertise in too.

Any questions give me a shout.

If you do there is an amazing oil by Alquimia - body oil for children& babies
available at www.beautyasbliss.com There is also a water & body wash, it is a totally natural range made up of the purest essential oils.

That is the website that you would contact for wholesale to

No, you just need to use plain grapeseed oil, and I would avoid applying anything that wasn't natural to the baby. Babies tend to put their hands in their mouths thus ingesting all the additives found in preblended baby products.

There are NO ADDITIVES with-in Alquimia products and would thoroughly recommend it is made of organic ingredients & pure plant raw materials using almond oil with EO lemon, orange, grapefruit to promote positivity and lavender for relaxation & wellbeing:- 100% natural, free from chemical preservs & synthetic perfume.

I have used this on my daughters from new born & one yr the elder one used to suffer from severe eczema but now we hardly ever have a prob & the girls still enjoy their massages with their special oil.:green:

It is a brilliant retail/product range because it is unique.
