Hi all

Well I've jumped back on the band wagon and gone mobile.

I was just wondering if you could give me some pointers of being mobile as I think its going to be daunting. I will have to carry my table 2 chairs and my trolley box i know that.

I just feel a little nervous about going out and doing my job again so any ideas for being mobile would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Angela

Being organised is the key, I liked to have a A4 size page a day diary. that way I had room for all the client info.
I had my main work box and then smaller ones with all the different bits an pieces. If I was going to do it again I would have the cnd buckets because you can see at a glance what is in them and they are light weight.
I've done a thread on this next one before and I can not stress it enough.
Having worked as a night time taxi driver for 3 and a half years followed by 2 and a half on days I have unfortunatly seen all the ways that people can treat each other with a total lack of respect so the following is not to put you of its just to keep you thinking.
Safety first
Make sure someone always knows the addresses you will be covering during the day leave the customers phone number and address with someone you trust.
Have break down and accident recovery insurance for your car. Always check your oil, water and tyres at the start of your day and keep the spare tyre in good working order.
Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and carry a car charger with you or one of those emergency battery ones.
Don't carry all your takings with you, during the day take the time to quick drop them at the bank.
Anything else occurs to me I'll post:lol:

I think being organised is a big thing about being mobile, and you need to take ALL your nail gear with you incase a client asks for something else as well,I always make sure I have everything ready the night before,I think it would be a right embarrassement to of forgotten something, and you couldnt complete a treatment properly.

Can I ask why you carry TWO chairs though?I just take my hydrolic stool along for my comfort, they either sit at their dinning room chair or on their sofa.:)

Always leave a little bit earlier to get to your appointment too,I had one a couple of weeks ago, thought I knew where it was.Had to phone the client when I got there as its all changed now,but still got their on time as I left earlier enough.I usually try to arrive 10 mins. earlier before the appointment to set up as well.

Good luck with it , I usually get nervous about going to a new client mobile, but once Im there and working away, things are usually fine..well most of the time..lol.:)

Thank you for the replys. I will do a list and keep all the names and telephone
numbers with a friend and I always check the car stuff anyways.

I was going to take 2 chairs as I thought I would need one for the client but I will just take the 1 with me then.

You have given me alot of info to think about and keep me right I thank you for that.
