OK guy's fun over..remember the Moderators only allowed this thread to be reopened if personnel's were kept out of things so lets see if we can discuss the topic at hand.

Do you see that offering this service will broaden your customer base and consequential revenue stream into your business?

Sorry..... hangs head in shame & turns on the puppy dog eyes....

Male waxing is big bucks! It's very lucrative!

Theres only 2 salons in my area that do men and thats only back and chest! I get a lot of men coming to me because I offer more than just back and chest. A lot of them congratulate me on realising that men are now wanting to be fully hair free just like us women!

But I don't rip the pants out of it by charging them double, that annoys me never mind the men!

Mens waxing is very lucrative but male clients are very different from women in that they research and they care about how the waxing is carried out. They follow the aftercare religiously too.

As far as ripping the a**e out of it (pun?), one of my regulars has a full body wax £150 and he asked if I could wax him on a Sunday and he'd be willing to pay double. He's a very very wealthy man. However, after I'd finished, I refused to take more than the normal and he was so touched, he tipped me £90.

I've never met so many intelligient, funny, kind and interesting people. I love all of my male clients (98% of my clients are men) and I wouldn't change my job for the world.

Can the Back sack and crack be done with austrailan body care wax. One of the lads at work has asked me to do it him, however never done this before. Is there any videos out there or treatment plans to follow? I wont be doing this for clients but thought its worth a bash on one of the staff lol.

One of the girls used to work in a salon where they did it but never did it or seen it done personally. She said that they had to advise men before they got it dont that sometimes people get an erection and this may be normal however if they tried any funny business they would be in toruble. Is this normal practice?

You can do any type of waxing with any brand of wax. We have fav's of course, but the most important part is your skill level with your brand.

well, i do alot of male waxing, and to be honest, i cant ever truly KNOW how much it hurts for men, but as an assetment of mens vs. women reaction, id say women intimate waxing would be more painful. Men mostly fear the testicals, and i thought when i began that would be the worse, although the men that i have waxed, have said that they are suprised that its not so bad. I have no clue as a woman, but i think its because its still just skin, and as long as its heald tight its the same sensation.

With the hot wax, I've found that it's crucial to make sure that the wax isn't too hot - particularly when applied to the scrotum - as that can be more painful than the actual pulling off of the wax itself if it's a bit too hot. The last thing you want is a singed scrotum, burnt balls or tandoori testicles!!!

It hurts us enough, not nearly as much as is in the minds eye though.....

but I suspect not as much as for you ladies.
I guess thats something we will never have an answer to though

Having just heard about this treatment I cannot for the life of me comprehend the pain thats involved for these poor guy's

So come on who offers this service and what is going through your mind when your undertaking the treatment...

is it a case of

A) Ching ching more money in the till
or
B) Enjoyment at the sense of revenge at last against the male species.
or
C) all of the above

Hi There

I am a sugar therapist that specialises in the famous back, crack and sack.

What's going through my mind?

A - More money in the till
B - His Wife / girlfriend is just going to love the result

I sugar loads of guys, their ladies love it!
It doesn't hurt that much, and the results are well worth it.

Does that answer your question?

Kindest Regards

Jane

Odd isnt it how our attitudes changed...at the beginning of this posting I was basically a wax virgin type of guy.....since the things have dramatically changed..and waxing the bits has become much more a part of my own beautification regime....to be fair particularly the nasal hair removal treatment which really does make me feel better and much less self conscious :lol::lol:

Im wondering if therapists generally have seen an increase in males coming into the salon for this treatment??

These old threads are always the best ones :lol::hug:

Yes I do do backs and shoulders (and nostrils too - thanks KIM xxx) but I really concentrate on scrotum, natal cleft and buttocks (or BSC in other words!). All of my first time BSC guys are regulars and they really appreciate my help in achieving their own goals for hair free skin.

If it's that painful - your therapist is doing it wrong! Come see me for a treatment :)

Personality is key here. If you are a confident, able and interesting therapist - you can easily build a rapport with your customers who may be initially apprehensive with the idea of letting you loose on their 'crown jewels'.

Personally, I strongly feel that men appreciate male therapists. This removes so many barriers to treatment that they may feel otherwise.

We really are sensitive, creatures after all! :)

And Collin, the only thing that's going through my mind is "have I waxed to the very best of my ability - and is the customer getting Value-For-Money?"

Reading this thread sure does give people two kind of views a humorous one and of course a more professional approach. Reading both sides I guess, you people here, see these topic in a more satiric sense. Sure sounds fun for the ladies but I guess guys will sure find these things appealing too, of course in a painful way. Sure you people don't like touching the opposite gender's skin or feel it? Well.. that's funny?

Moreover, I guess with the new age of metro-sexuals men having to occupy women's world of consciousness, such a thing would promote diversity and development of more convenient and modern methods limited of course by the division of sexes or genders.

Have you seen how many times this post has been read !!

I didn't get time to read all of them, but interesting and amusing at the same time!

Google sent me this way, so that might be why!

Im looking for information on where to get my first BSC.... I'm not particularly hairy but the missus (isnt that always the way) likes me shaven, but it gets annoying very quickly.

Any experienced BSC'ers to be recommended in London or Birmingham?

Thanks all...

(eek)
