My sister inlaw turned up at my house yesterday with beautiful nails, she said the nail tech used products by 'back scratcher or scratchers' I've never heard of them... have any of you? Are they good?

Hi!
Can only tell you this much, that it is a very popular brand in Sweden. My best friends tech over there uses it and her nails are always looking great.
HTH

They were the first to develop a fibreglass system and to buy their items you have to be assessed by one of their trainers first. They also so a dip system but i'm not sure whether the rules apply for that also. Their website is Backscratchers Salon Systems - Backscratchers.com. x

Thanks for that, she did say something about dipping her nails into the product, I'll have a read up, it sound interesting and her nails did look really nice.

that'd be their Extreme Powder Glaze system. havent used it myself but have used one by You which i think that Backscratchers distributed, and it's a good system - especially using on yourself!

Hi there,
I use Backscratcher extreme powder glaze as a mobile nail tech. I love the system.
Its a dipping method, which means you coat the whole and tip with a resin than dip the whole nail in the acrylic powder.
Its mess free and creates strong enhancments without the thickness, ending up with a naturel look! x

I too used to use this system, I found the only problem being is the resin which comes in a nail polish type container with a brush gets bunged up very quickly no matter how much care is taken. So becomes quite a pricey system.

Oooh, so do you have to train with them or can you buy their products online. Obviously I would have to have some kind of training, only just doing my bio sculpture this month, but, I like the natural look of this make!

Yes you do need to train with them to buy their products

Everytime the resin touches the acrylic powder you have too swirl the brush over a nail wipe to remove any powder on the brush. this stops the powder setting on the brush and entering the resin bottle. this way you can use the whole bottle! x

I dont have a promblem with it, just use acetone. But i do have a quick soak bowl form Nsi. It warms the acetone which helps spend up the removal process! x

I also do the Extreme system, it's good. I do tend to do more acrylic nails but Extreme's are good aswell, and they only take an hour :)

I would rather use those then the other b/c the backscratcher system does not have anysmell to it at all! Also they seem to last longer too!:)GOOD LUCK
