Base colour help

If the first column on a Koleston colour chart is the base colour. What happens if someone comes in with ginger hair? What would you do then?
 
you would determine what base the hair colour was whether its dark or light.you would refer to this hair colour as copper or red tones. dont know if that helps?
 
they're your flat base colours, not peoples natural hair colours. they let you know the depth of a colour not the tone. So you can match her hair to the nearest in the chart then you'll now her natural depth.

Absolutely!! although I am guilty of saying antique blonde instead of referring to a client as grey. Lol always makes them laugh, one lady said after " well u better do some restoration on this antique blonde" :D
